Who are you?

Granny's Inn is located in Sliema, one of the most popular tourist destinations on the idyllic Maltese islands. The Hostel is located in a village core on a very peaceful street. It's a five minute walk from the beach in the beautifully situated Sliema promenade. It's also at walking distance from one of the top shopping destinations in Malta, while also being surrounded by great hot spots, bars, and restaurants, the bus stops and ferries to our capital city Valletta are also a stone's throw away.

What are you doing?

This traditional village townhouse used to be the residence of our grandparents and is now being run by two brothers. Aaron is a Superhost and has been accommodating travelers on various reputable booking sites for a few years, moreover, he has an impeccable track record and will be handling the day to day operations to accommodate every individual need. Aaron is also a yoga teacher and teaches weekly yoga classes at the hostel and around Malta. Dean has a Catering and IT background and will be working behind the scenes to ensure smooth facilitating of all operations. Julia Markovska, also an essential part of the family, has been managing the hostel since 2016. She helps in all aspects of the daily running of the hostel and takes care of the volunteers. Together they form a great team and hope to give you the best service to make your trip to Malta a memorable one.

I’ve been traveling for 3 years, and this is the best hostel I’ve been to! The atmosphere was fantastic, it felt like a family. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, close to the ferry to valletta and to a bus stop. The hostel is an old traditional maltese house, and it is very clean. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. There is a shared fridge in the room, and a kitchen at the ground floor, if you want to cook. You can get a free towel, adapter (they use UK plugs) and lock for the locker by leaving a deposit that is given back to you at check out. There is a TV room on the second floor with a balcony, and a rooftop with sunbathing beds (the rooftop was my favorite part, I filmed a beautiful timelapse of the sunset there). The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is very reasonable.

Really nice hostel with really good facilities. Beds are comfortable. Awesome terrace to drink a cold one. Defenetly will come again.

I was very glad to choose Granny´s Inn Hostel as a place to stay during my trip to Malta. It is in calm area, yet not far away from capital nor from busy night life. The rooms were very clean. Even though the reception is not open 24/7, the staff was prepared to help to solve any issues even out of the reception hours. To add one more plus is rooftop terrace to relax.

One word: amazing! The hostel is clean and good to live in. The huge plus: the staff! Lorena, the manager, is the sweetest and always there to help you and give you tips and the rest of the people there is lovely! I would totally recommend and stay there again for a future trip to Malta !!
